The CrossFit Games 2021 are on the horizon, and many of the participants are incredibly excited. Besides the usual competitions like the men's, women's events will also take place. We're all familiar with the Reebok's equipment, the Pegboard contest, and the Cutting system. But what do we know about the womens' competition? Keep reading to find out! Women's competition

The women's competition at the 2021 Crossfit Games began this morning with the swim event. Jonne and Tia Claire Toomey-Orr won the first competition. Koski was the overall champion after she maintained her lead throughout. Tall and Eramooo O’Connell came second and three respectively. It was the women's first event in the Games and the women's side was hoping to complete the podium.

The women's competition features top-level female athletes. The field includes nine athletes, including a 19-year-old powerhouse who won the competition in Australia last year. Kara Saunders of Australia, who was second in Australia and eleventh in the world in 2020, are also contenders. Andrea Nisler was also a rising star. In 2018, she competed in team division and came in third in the United States. She finished fifteenth in 2020. In addition to these athletes, the Women's competition will also feature a newcomer to the sport - Icelandan competitor Sara Sigmundsdottir, who won the first place medal in the World Crossfit Games earlier this year.

Pegboard contest

Toomey-Orr set the record for most wins in a single Games event with 30. Sager won Event 11 for the men and took home his third Games victory. The top 30 finishers compete in a sprint pairt to determine who is the top ten. The top 20 athletes then compete in six more events. Castro's system has been criticized by veterans Games athletes who feel that the cuts are too significant.

Reebok equipment

Reebok has released new CrossFit Games shoes, clothing and equipment. Nano X1 will be the new shoes. They can be used for multiple fitness goals. Reebok calls the shoe "the shoe of health," but it is more like a traditional trainer shoe. The shoe's upper is made from DuPont's Kevlar material, which promotes durability and breathability. The shoe's responsiveness can be enhanced by its firm midsole and RopePro Tech.
